Lenovo took Third Place in Global PC Shipment Rankings
Lenovo Group has displaced Acer on the fourth place from the third position in a global rating of PC manufacturers. Company iSuppli analysed the results of the second quarter and has come to such conclusion. Deliveries of Lenovo PC`s have grown in comparison with the previous period on 22,9 % and have made 4,869 million units.
Demand on a local Chinese market has affected a strengthening of Lenovo positions. As a result, Acer has left the first three of manufacturers. Delivery volume of Acer reduced to 0,2 % for a quarter and have made 4,2 million units.Worldwide delivery volume reduced in the second quarter to 1,7 % up to 61,319 million units. That mismatches the forecast for year, which is given by company IDC. Four of the five top of the list companies, nevertheless, have increased the delivery volume. Total part of five largest manufacturers has increased from 49 % in the first quarter up to 53 % - in the second.
