Lenovo Launches Atom-based All-in-Оne
Nettops are primarily for web surfing, right? So they should ideally sport a nice, big built-in display, yes? Lenovo thinks so - its new Atom-based IdeaCentre C100 is essentially an 18.5in, 16:9 ratio screen.
The machine’s just 50mm thick and between the front and back surfaces sit said Atom CPU - a single-core 230 or a dual-core 330; you choose which you want - 1GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive and a DVD writer.
The Windows XP-running box has four USB ports, and while Lenovo didn’t talk about connectivity, we’d say there’s an Ethernet port in there too and probably Wi-Fi as well.
The best bit: the whole thing costs $399 (€271) in the US.
