Lenovo has overhauled its ThinkVision displays with multiple new models that all stress eco-friendliness first. The L2251x Wide, L2251p Wide, L2250p Wide, L1951p Wide and L1711p all use about 50 percent less power than the LCDs they replace. The L2251x Wide in particular is held up as the green example with 65 percent of its body made from post-use recycled plastics.
Regardless of size, every display has a 1680x1050 resolution, a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and a 5ms pixel response time. Analog video input is common on most models, but the two L2251 models also have DisplayPort for more modern output. The top-end L2251x also gets a built-in webcam for chat.
The first to ship will be the L1951p Wide, L2250p Wide and L2251p Wide, all of which ship on Friday at prices between $240 and $260. The L1711p ships November 6th for $230, while the L2251x Wide has a less clear November release date and a $300 price.
