The new Xerox WorkCentre® 7400 series, the company’s most efficient and innovative range of office A3 colour multifunction systems to date, are now available in the Russian market. The WorkCentre 7400 series is designed for users in small to medium size businesses as well as the larger enterprise. “Now, more than ever, organisations are under pressure to save money. That’s why we’re introducing the Xerox WorkCentre 7400 series. These compact new devices have been engineered with savings in mind; savings on time, energy, running costs, space, downtime and environmental impact,” said Mark Duffelen, director and general manager, Office Group, Xerox UK
Compliant with Energy Star and Blue Angel standards, the WorkCentre 7400 series is extremely quiet and energy efficient when in operation mode, and uses less than 2 watts of power when in sleep mode. It is one of the first Xerox devices of its type to incorporate biomass plastic, which produces 16% fewer CO2 emissions during manufacture than traditional plastic. Productivity features include 100% duplex printing, which means two-sided documents are printed at the same speed as single-sided documents which saves time and paper; print around, which ensures that if one job is held up due to a lack of resources, other jobs will continue to print keeping busy workgroups productive; and Xerox Smart Kit technology that constantly monitors critical components of the WorkCentre device to predict and prevent downtime.
The WorkCentre 7400 series which comprises three models, the WorkCentre 7425, WorkCentre 7428 and WorkCentre 7435, replaces the WorkCentre 7328, 7335 and 7345 in Xerox’s product portfolio. It prints at up to 35 ppm in colour and black and white, uses EA-HG toner, and incorporates enhanced HiQ LED technology, which delivers 1200x2400dpi image quality, better registration and smoother lines on images and text.
All models will be supported by an optional EFI FieryTM Network Server, which will provide easy-to-use colour management controls, powerful productivity features, and superior workflow tools for professional office users.
Also, Xerox’s Extensible User Interface (EIP), allows independent software vendors and developers to create customised applications that are readily accessible from the large user interface, saving users valuable time and simplifying recurring tasks.
To help ensure responsible use of colour in the office, the series offers several built-in tools to help monitor and control colour costs, such as Auditron and Xerox Standard Accounting.
