New Toshiba Laptop Docking Station Is Compact, Pretty Capable

Toshiba has presented at CES 2010 the new addition to its universal laptop docking station line-up, a model which goes by the name dynadock V and is smaller than all its siblings. Seen below, the device is compatible with Windows laptops and features four USB 2.0 ports (three at the back, one in front), Ethernet LAN connectivity, 3.5mm audio ins and outs, as well as a DVI port which is powered by a built-in video card providing support for a monitor with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

"Toshiba’s first universal docking station, dynadock U, has proven to be popular with business professionals and consumers looking for a more versatile workstation. We recognized that we needed to deliver a solution using the same innovative dynadock technology at a more aggressive price point," said Michael Cassidy, Director, Marketing Accessory, HDD and Services, Toshiba America Information Systems. "The dynadock V is small on size, but not small on power making it perfect for home or school environments."
The dynadock V is set to become available next month for $120.
