When the TVs are in standby mode they only use 0.5 watts of energy, which is a big significance since conventional LCDs use between 1 and 2 watts. Another big feature is the BenQ’s Senseye Human Vision Technology. This feature gives the TVs an enhancement engine that is supposed to mimic the human eye and then adjust the image so that it looks its best. While the displays are small to the HDTV industry, BenQ has still given each TV three HDMI ports as well as SRS TruSurround HD technology.
Both the ML2241 and ML2441 are expected to release later this month and will be available only in Europe and Asia.
