Toshiba Stor.E Art3 – a Pocket Sized Portable Backup Solution
Toshiba Digital Products and Services, a division of Toshiba Europe GmbH, has announced a new external hard disk drive with a capacity of up to 1 terabyte (1,000 gigabytes), the Stor.E Art3. The new device is ideal for mobile users with a huge amount of data stored on their computers, who are looking for an easy-to-use backup solution. The Stor.E Art3 will be available during the second quarter 2010 in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The stylish Stor.E Art3 product line comes in two colours and with two different storage capacities: a model comes in Raven Black and offers 1 terabyte, a Liquid Blue version offers a capacity of 750 gigabyte. At the top capacity, the Stor.E Art3 holds up to 285,000 digital photos, 263,000 digital music files or 820 digital movies1. Consumers can easily backup their entire music, photo or home video libraries with this vast amount of storage space. With its extremely small dimensions and weighing only 170 grams, the Stor.E Art3 is highly portable and even fits into the smallest of pockets.
The Stor.E Art3 appeals to consumers across a diverse range of digital comfort levels – it is easy-to-use with a simple plug-and-play operation for beginners and offers customisable options for tech-savvy users. With an easy setup process and “set-it-and-forget-it” operation, the Stor.E Art3 product line can automatically and regularly backup computer files while in use, removing the primary barrier to backing up – users' forgetfulness. Stor.E Art3 features easy-to-use Windows™-based NTI® BackupNow EZ™ software, upgraded with advanced search capabilities and simpler step-by-step restore functionality, to retrieve lost files. For advanced users, the Stor.E Art3 offers many customisation features including extensive back-up options, advanced restore functionalities and an ability to overwrite specific original files. It also provides an option for complete system backup, enabling users to restore selected files or the entire computer, even if Windows is unable to start.
