PC demand to enjoy growth thanks to new processors from AMD and Intel

PC brand vendors expect demand for PCs to enjoy strong growth in the first quarter of 2017 as Intel will begin mass shipping its Kaby Lake processors, while AMD will also launch its next-generation Zen-based processors.

AMD's Zen-based processors are expected to feature a price/performance ratio better than expected, while Intel will release new Kaby Lake processors for mid-range to high-end gaming notebooks (H-series) and high-end and mainstream desktop products.

Several notebook brand vendors are preparing to showcase new gaming notebooks using the CPUs at CES 2017, while motherboard players are also expected to showcase their 200-series-based motherboards.

Motherboard players are also aggressively preparing products based on the high-end X370, mainstream B350 and entry-level A320 chipsets. Motherboard players are expected to start shipping X370-based motherboards at the end of November.
