Over the past months of 2009, LG Electronics launched new contemporary facilities to produce LCD and plasma TVs at its Russian plant in Ruza district near Moscow.

Due to technical innovations TV production has become more economically feasible and easier from the technological point of view. New production facilities are meeting all modern requirements and are similar to those operating in Korea.

The new production line has two conveyers which separate assembling stage from other production operations. Similar conveyers are used at pre-assembling stage to form basic units integrating LCD or PDP panels, speakers, metal frames to nest chips and panels. Vertical packaging of the assembled TV sets is fully automated.

The new line produces LCD and plasma TVs, which are in high demand in the Russian market. Such popular models as 26" and 32" tellies of LG4000 series are also produced at Ruza plant. The LG4000 has a stylish black and red design and an integrated DVD-player supporting video, MP3 and JPEG files. ’Sound Wall’ technology provides for high quality sound.

According to LG, electronic goods produced in Russia are more affordable than those imported due to a zero import duty for LCD and plasma panels.
