MICS Distribution Company opened its second regional full-fledged branch (office & warehouse) in Rostov-on-Don.
The MICS-South branch is to cover cities and towns of Russia's southern region and be responsible for supply and support of MICS partners there. The branch will offer a product range similar to that of the Moscow office.
The main purpose of the branch is to become closer to MICS partners in the region and provide flexible financial terms and more comfortable logistic services to them. The branch focuses at all types of resellers in the region to include big and small retailers, local dealers and VARs.
Apart from increasing sales volumes in the region, the branch task is to increase the number of loyal local dealers benefitting from closer cooperation with the distributor.
The Rostov-on-Don branch was the second to open under MICS regional expansion strategy.
The first one was opened a year ago in Nizhny Novgorod to strengthen MICS presence in the mid-Volga region, an important economic area in Russia. Over the past year the Nizhny Novgorod branch has doubles its sales in the Volga region bringing its share in total MICS sales in the region from 3% at the start to 34% in a year (as of July 2011).
The MICS regional expansion will continue this year with opening the third branch in Novosibirsk to cover a vast Siberian region, and a representative office in St. Petersburg to be responsible for the North-western region.
