At the press conference in Moscow MICS Distribution Company announced the distribution agreements with a new for the Russian market trade mark and vendor GEAR4 (Great Britain), a vendor of an extensive line-up of accessories for iPod and iPhone and also portable Bluetooth solutions.
Representing a new vendor, MICS CEO Vladimir Lisogorsky noted the innovative technical solutions, a wide product range for popular both in Russia and the whole world iPod and the devices using Bluetooth technology. On the other hand MICS possesses a perfect avenue for promotion of such products and from the price point of view the GEAR4 offer looks quite attractive.
Christophe Brisset, GEAR4 sales director, stated that the choice of MICS as their distributor was determined by several reasons. Among them its stable position on the market, a wide and reliable distribution channel among big retail networks. And the most important one is confidential personal relationships. At the press-conference Christophe Bresset and Giulio Zompi, responsible for business development in CIS countries, presented the whole GEAR4 product line and answered numerous questions asked by representatives of IT-editions.
The main emphasis was placed on the novelties. Russia became one the first countries to present the world first home acoustic system DUO, designed especially for iPod. The GEAR4 DUO is a 2.1 home stereo speaker system that comprises the Bass Unit and the Satellite Speaker. They can be used either jointly as a powerful home stereo speaker or separately. The patented Seamless Sound Technology (SST) provides uninterrupted connection between the Satellite and the Bass Units. The falling back panel, retractable iPod dock and Travel Pack, supplied separately (it includes steady case and an additional Lithium-ion battery) make the satellite acoustic system ideal for traveling. The total power of the DUO – 38W – comprises a powerful 20W subwoofer and 4 tweeters in the Satellite. Either docked or separate, the speaker delivers high audio fidelity and rich bass sounds.
The journalists of IT editions had a great opportunity to have a close look at the samples of GEAR4 product line and get the detailed information concerning each model represented at the press-conference. Some samples, including the DUO acoustic system, were handed over to editorials to conduct the further testing.
