Compal Electronics has reportedly received netbook orders from Lenovo, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times. The paper did not indicate the volume of Lenovos netbook orders, but said Compals total netbook shipments this year are expected to reach 5-8 million units.

Compal aims to ship 32 million notebooks this year, a volume representing a 28% increase compared to its 2008 shipments. In addition to Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba and Acer have also outsourced their netbooks to Compal for this year, added the paper.
