BenQ has announced two nScreen all-in-one PCs, the i91 and i221, which it plans to start shipping to Taiwan, Japan, and Australia in March or April this year, targeting initial monthly shipments of 3,000 units for the first three months.
The HD 18.5-inch widescreen nScreen i91 and full HD 21.5-inch widescreen nScreen i221 both feature 16:9 aspect ratio displays and a built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam. The i91 is already available in the Taiwan market at NT$17,900 (US$517), and the i221 will be available in the second quarter.
In other news, BenQ said it plans to introduce above 42-inch LCD TVs and 12-inch netbooks this year.
All-in-one PCs are estimated to account for 5-10% of the LCD monitor market this year, according to industry sources.
